In this video, we will go over how to send out Zoom links in your reminders. Our system is set up to look for the link in your events, but it is much easier if you add the Zoom extension to your calendar. You can do a simple web search on how to do this.
You can see here there’s the scheduler. We already have it connected to the system, so let’s set up an event with a Zoom link added to it. We’re going to set up our event as we normally would. If you’re sending SMS reminders, add the phone number either to the event title or the event description. And you can see here we can make it a Zoom meeting. The Zoom link goes into the location field automatically, and the information is also down in the details.
Press Save. And now we’re going to go into G Reminders, and we’re going to set up our template so that it sends out the link in the reminder to that meeting.
So click on Templates. You can either edit one of your existing ones, or you can add another one. Let’s just add a new one for this purpose. So we’re doing a reminder. We’re going to send an SMS. Let’s change this to about 30 minutes prior. And then here’s the body. Remember, these bodies are completely changeable. You can cut and paste. You can add—we’re going to add some wording at the bottom that will kind of link it to a Zoom so your customer will know to click on there to join the Zoom link.
And then what we’re going to do is we’re going to click this variable and choose Zoom Join Link. You can see now in our template that the double-bracketed Zoom link is there. We’re going to save that.
And then you can see when we refresh our screen back home, here’s our event. If you click on it, you can see what is scheduled to go out, and you can see that the reminder now has the Zoom link in here.
Sending out reminders for Zoom meetings is easy.
