Personal Reminder Templates in GReminders

Definition: Personal Reminder Templates are pre-configured message frameworks that define the content, timing, delivery method, and conditions for reminders sent to you, or your team members. They work on any calendar event (meetings, recurring tasks, bills, medication, wake-up calls, etc.).

In the above video, an example is shown of a Personal Reminder that will trigger when the words “wills” and “trusts” are detected in the event description of a calendar event, an email is sent to an estate planning attorney, letting her know about the meeting and inviting her to stop by.

She has given the Custom Field that allows her to add the meeting to her calendar. Her email address is then added as a recipient, and she’ll receive this message each time the same criteria are met.

• Template Creation Created in the Personal Reminders section (left menu) or under Reminder Templates in Setup.
• Content Customization Full text formatting for emails; concise, powerful messaging for SMS/voice. Use dynamic fields such as: {{event.name}}, {{event.start_time}}, {{event.description}}, {{event.date_coming_up_at}}, {{event.time}}, etc.Example: “Reminder: Pay your {{event.description}} bill {{event.date_coming_up_at}}.” “This is your join link for the seminar coming up in 1 hour: {{event.zoomlink}}.”
• Delivery Settings Choose SMS, email, voice call, or any combination. Set exact timing (e.g., 10 minutes before, 1 day before, or follow-up reminders after the event).
• Conditions / Criteria Trigger on all events or use Custom Criteria (event title contains “Medication”, description contains “wills & trusts”, specific calendar, etc.).
• Recipient Options
  • Yourself (the calendar owner)
  • Specific team members or family (add their phone/email)
  • Additional recipients (CC/BCC for email, extra phone numbers for SMS/voice)
• Branding & Attachments (email only) Add your logo, signature, or links to prep materials.
