Automating Client Age Milestones with CRM Criteria (Bulk Sends)

GReminders lets you leverage your contacts in your CRM to automate a variety of email and SMS notifications to clients around critical life events. One of the most powerful ways financial advisors use this feature is to proactively target clients approaching key age milestones.

By setting up dynamic date criteria, you can automatically run bulk sends or continuous outreach to prepare clients for strategic tax transitions, Social Security decisions, or Medicare registration windows.

These automated touchpoints ensure you never miss a critical planning window, building deeper client trust while systematically opening doors for annual reviews or specialized consultations.

To build these automated lists, you will filter your CRM contacts using criteria based on their Calculated Age/Birthday fields.

For notifying clients when they are reaching 59 1/2 that they can now withdraw from IRA/401(K) penalty-free, you would want to send that 90 days before.

For notifying clients who have hit the earliest Social Security eligibility (62 years old). You would want to typically send this 6 months before their birthday.

For notifying clients that their Medicare planning window opens, you would want to send this out 2 years before they turn 65 years old.

For notifying clients that they have reached Medicare eligibility (65 years old), you will want to send this out 3 months prior.

For notifying clients that their Social Security benefits have been maximized (70 years old), you will want to send this out 6 months prior.

For notifying clients that their QLACS is allowed up to 25% of IRA balance (75 years old), you will want to send this out 3 months prior.

For notifying clients that their RMD window has come up (73 for those born 1951+ and 72 for the rest), you will want to send this out when they turn 72 IF their birthday IS BEFORE 1951.
