{"id":7508,"date":"2024-06-11T23:30:43","date_gmt":"2024-06-11T23:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/?p=7508"},"modified":"2024-10-30T01:00:06","modified_gmt":"2024-10-30T01:00:06","slug":"how-to-retain-clients-when-advisors-leave-your-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/how-to-retain-clients-when-advisors-leave-your-firm\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Retain Clients When Advisors Leave Your Firm"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>When an advisor leaves your firm, you have to act quickly if you want to retain clients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Bryce Sanders in his article, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thinkadvisor.com\/2021\/10\/18\/how-to-retain-the-reassigned-account\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">7 Steps to Keeping a Client Whose Advisor Has Left the Firm<\/a>, Think Advisor, Oct. 18, 2021, Step #2 is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact Them Immediately<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While you can reach out to clients many ways, one of the quickest ways to reach all of them at once <strong>AND<\/strong> offer clients a way to meet with another advisor at your firm, is by using GReminders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">GReminders Client Automation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Using Client Automations built into GReminders, you can notify all of the clients associated with the former advisor in just a couple of minutes. Not only will the clients receive a message from you explaining that their advisor is gone, they will be able to schedule with the first available advisor in your firm using Round-Robin Team Scheduling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting up The Automation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the Management menu in GReminders, select Bulk Sends. You don&#8217;t want them to schedule on the Servicing advisor&#8217;s calendar, so under &#8220;Contact Owner Field&#8221; select &#8220;None&#8221;.  Then, in order to get clients to book with the first available advisor, select a <strong>Round-Robin Team Event Type<\/strong> (be sure that you disable the former advisor from this team before sending the notification):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"934\" height=\"246\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/EventTypeTargets.jpg\" alt=\"Event Type Targets\" class=\"wp-image-7518\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/EventTypeTargets.jpg 934w, https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/EventTypeTargets-300x79.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/EventTypeTargets-768x202.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 934px) 100vw, 934px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Write a note helping clients understand why they are receiving this notification and be sure to leave the single use link (highlighted in the image below).
