{"id":2369,"date":"2022-02-02T18:29:24","date_gmt":"2022-02-02T18:29:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/?p=2369"},"modified":"2022-02-04T23:28:29","modified_gmt":"2022-02-04T23:28:29","slug":"include-exclude-invitee-as-an-attendee-of-the-calendar-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/include-exclude-invitee-as-an-attendee-of-the-calendar-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Include\/Exclude Invitee as an Attendee of the Calendar Event"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you use GReminders for Automated Scheduling, you have the option of including the person who is booking with you on the ACTUAL Calendar Event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In most cases you will want to include the person, since this will automatically add it to your client&#8217;s calendar as well (regardless of which system they are using Google, Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, iPhone\/Apple, etc&#8230;.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Using this Feature for B2C or Retail Scheduling<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In some cases, where maybe you have a B2C or Retail Use case (Service Appointments, etc&#8230;) you may not want to include them, and simply rely on GReminders Notification features such as Initial Appointment Notifications and SMS Reminder Notifications to remind them of upcoming appointments.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: <strong><em>Not adding your client to the invite will also give you the flexibility to put private notes in the Event Description which will not be visible to your client.   <\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Changing the Sequence of Reminders After an Appointment has been Scheduled<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There may also be times when you would like to add information to a calendar event that will change which reminder the client will receive (our system is dynamic, so when you make a change on your calendar, it will affect future reminders). Using this feature, you can do this without the customer receiving a notification that there has been a change in the event (which could potentially confuse the customer). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, clients are added to the Calendar Invites, but if you wish to exclude them you can do so in the Event Type edit here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"810\" height=\"370\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/exclude_invitee_from_calendar_event.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2372\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/exclude_invitee_from_calendar_event.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/exclude_invitee_from_calendar_event-300x137.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.greminders.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/exclude_invitee_from_calendar_event-768x351.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not include your client, the Event will not appear on your Clients Calendar.
